We are looking for motivated, service oriented individuals to join our high profile Asset Owner and Consultant (AOC) team, based in Chicago.

Our salespeople are responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as new business development for all MSCI Barra products. Each sales person travels within their respective sales territory to meet with clients regarding new products as well as enhancements to existing products. The sales person will be involved with all aspects of an account including senior level relationship management, product demonstrations, contract negotiation, sales closing, product setup and delivery. This person will work very closely with global client service, client consultants, marketing, product management, and finance / billing departments

While closing revenue based deals will be a part of the Sales Associates responsibility, acquiring documented acceptance of our products with this client base is a key driver of success in this role. Success will be measured in net assets acquired/retained under MSCI Barra benchmarks and the adoption of Barra risk models /software as part of the risk monitoring and reporting functions of AOC clients.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Total Relationship Management involving:
• High Level Management Contact
• Strategic Planning with an Account
• New product placement
• Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI Barra products and methodologies
• Inform clients about MSCI Barra's products, announcements, projects, etc.
• Work with other departments (client service, legal, contracts, billing, etc) to ensure that all client requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
• Coordinate and complete request for proposals (RFPs)
• Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc.
• Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
• Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups




Skills Required:
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Strong sales closing skills
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills
• Experience in the investment management decision-making process, either from the investment management, pension fund or consultant perspective
• Record of achievement of product placement with asset owners
• A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
• Thorough understanding of the investment management process
• Minimum of 1-3 years sales experience with a proven record of accomplishment and 5-10 years of experience in the financial service industry. Experience dealing directly with North American asset owners and their consultants is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree required plus MBA, Masters Degree and/or CFA charter holder
• Extensive travel
