Multi-strategy hedge fund in NYC is looking to add a Head of Risk Management to their team that will be responsible for building and maintaining risk systems and overseeing data integrity for risk analytics and reporting.
Main responsibilities will include advising portfolio managers and investment committee on risk management, portfolio construction and capital allocation along with discussing risk management processes and infrastructure with existing and prospective investors. This person will also be responsible for developing and monitoring risk limits, model and analyze trading strategies, develop and monitor methodologies for capital allocation and portfolio optimization, advise on hedging methodologies, and assist in validation of pricing parameters for complex securities. Prefer candidates to have MS/MBA but will consider BS with appropriate experience. 5-7 years experience within the Risk Management function of an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or other investments organization is required. Successful candidate will have experience calculating and analyzing risk and performance measures. Candidate must display strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience leading a group is a plus
