Our client is a major fund of hedge fund with $billions AUM and an enviable track record of top performance. They are currently seeking to hire an equity experienced professional to analyse Equity long/short hedge funds in Europe (including eastern europe), the Middle East and Africa. The role essentially involves meeting equity hedge fund managers, understanding their business and taking a view as to whether they will be a good investment or not. On a day to day basis, the role involves keeping regular updates on existing invested hedge funds and writing and updating fund meeting reports, attending industry conferences and maintaining good relationships with hedge fund investments and other people in the industry. They are seeking to hire someone who has a genuine interest in the stock market, gained through at least a year's experience working in a role such as an equity analyst, fund manager, investment consultant or M&A banker.
