Account Management Group - Accounting Analyst

Group Overview:

Within the Account Management Group (AMG) we pride ourselves on working with clients around the globe to develop solutions to meet their investment goals. Specific teams such as Alternative Investments, Cash Management, Financial Institutions, Global Consultant Relations, International, U.S. Retail, Pension/Tax-Exempt and Wealth Management are dedicated to different types of clients to better understand their needs and to deliver excellent service by anticipating these needs.

Department Description:

The Contracts & Admin group supports the U.S. Retail business within the Account Management Group by providing administrative and operational support. U.S. Retail distributes BlackRock’s products through third party channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and reconcile distribution support, service and networking fees pursuant to terms of executed agreements. Prepare allocations of such fees for Board reporting.

  • Coordinate payments with service providers and accounts payable.

  • Interface with finance department, custody, fund accounting service providers, relationship managers, transfer agent and in-house attorneys.

  • Review of financial information in prospectus, annual updates, semi-annual reports and other regulatory filings on an as needed basis.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and materials for Board Meetings.

  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in accounting preferred

  • 2 to 6 years accounting experience in financial services

  • Highly proficient in Excel

  • Strong knowledge of mutual funds

  • Working knowledge of investment terminology and concepts

  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate an attention to detail

  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Audit experience a plus
